Surat Airport

This project focuses on artwork for Surat Airport, a growing regional hub that connects the city to major destinations. The goal was to create visuals that reflect the identity of Surat while fitting naturally into a functional airport environment used by a wide range of travelers.

The client needed artwork that could work in a fast-paced public space where people don’t stop for long. The design had to communicate quickly, without losing meaning or becoming overly detailed.

Another challenge was representing Surat itself. The city has a strong identity tied to textiles, diamonds, and business culture, so the visuals needed to hint at this without becoming too literal or cluttered. At the same time, the artwork had to align with the clean, structured feel of an airport interior.

The approach focused on creating a balanced composition that works both from a distance and up close. Visual elements were selected to subtly reflect the city’s identity while keeping the layout clean and easy to understand.

The design avoids unnecessary complexity and instead relies on structure, spacing, and controlled detailing to maintain clarity. This helps the artwork integrate smoothly into the airport environment, making it effective for quick viewing while still giving the space a distinct local character.
