The Kedarnath project focused on creating a large-scale Om symbol as a physical installation that reflects the spiritual significance of the location. The idea was to design something that feels connected to the environment while also standing out as a clear visual element. The use of materials like steel, wood, and lighting was planned to ensure the structure feels both grounded and noticeable within the space.
The main challenge was creating a structure that feels strong and visible without disrupting the spiritual atmosphere of the place. The client needed something large enough to be impactful, but not overwhelming or out of context.
Another difficulty was material balance. Using steel, wood, and lighting together required careful consideration so the installation doesn’t feel too industrial or too decorative. It also had to work in outdoor conditions while maintaining its visual clarity both during the day and at night.
The approach focused on creating a strong visual element that connects with the spiritual context of the space. A large-scale Om symbol was crafted using materials like steel, wood, and integrated lighting to give it both structure and presence.
The combination of materials helps balance durability with a natural feel, while the lighting adds visibility and depth, especially in low-light conditions. This allows the installation to stand out without feeling out of place, making it a clear focal point that aligns with the spiritual atmosphere of the location.
